School of Biblical Studies & Christian Education Classes
The School of Biblical Studies was the first school developed for the Victory In Christ Bible Training Center. It was designed to give the student a strong foundational knowledge and understanding of the events of the Old and New Testaments, as well as the "end times" as depicted in the book of Revelation. In addition, there is also a focus on developing the nature, character, and gifting of the student. Students must complete the ten class curriculum to receive their Certificate of Completion from this program. The full course of study takes approximately 2 1/2 - 3 years to complete.
CE 100 Victorious Living
Victorious Living is designed to teach the believer (new, mature, scholar or not) the seven principles for abundant living, as active, fruitful, members of the body of Christ. *Highly recommended for new believers
BS 100 Image of Righteousness
This course is a foundational study of the believer’s identity in Christ Jesus. It imparts the revelation of whose we are, “The Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”, as a result of Christ’s finished work on the cross. No longer will you live beneath the standard of living that God designed for His people. You will come away from this course understanding that nothing that you do (your works) can make you any more righteous in God’s eyesight than you already are. He has already made you as righteous as you will ever be!
BS 101 Developing the Character of God
This 7-week course will challenge you to honestly examine your life and manner of living to determine whether you have allowed the power of God to truly transform your life as He intended. The question is, “are you an authentic Christian?” Are you living a God-directed, Holy Spirit inspired life? If you cannot answer “yes” without hesitation, then this course is for you. Stop settling for a boring life of mediocrity and pretending to have it all together with God. Learn how to develop the character of God and become the authentic (genuine, real) Christian God predestined you to be!
BS 102 Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts
This course is designed to assist you in completing your spiritual gift process. God has designed you with unique gifts and talents. Fulfillment in your personal ministry comes when you are effectively using those gifts in the body of Christ. You will discover or reaffirm your God-given spiritual gifts. This class will cover all 19 gifts listed in the New Testament, describing the meaning, manifestation, model, and contribution to the Kingdom of God.
BS 103 Discovering Your Purpose
This course is designed to answer the quintessential questions of why you were created and the purpose of your existence. Through this course, you will discover and identify God’s preordained plan for your life. You will be exposed to biblical principles that will aid you in your maturation for your sovereignly ordained destiny, clarify your understanding of who and whose you are, and empower you to fulfill your chosen path to advance the Kingdom of God in the earth.
BS 201 Old Testament Survey - Part 1
This course is a study of the Old Testament from the book of Genesis through the book of Esther. It is the first half of the Old Testament Survey course and provides a “sweeping overview” of God’s work from creation through the early days of the nation of Israel. Some of the topics that will be covered include Israel’s journey to the Promised Land, the Patriarchs, David’s reign, Solomon’s reign, the Northern and Southern Kingdom’s, and the Exile. Old Testament Survey l gives a historical background and perspective of God’s people. *The prerequisite for this course is Image of Righteousness.
BS 202 Old Testament Survey - Part 2
This course is designed to assist you in completing your spiritual gift process. God has designed you with unique gifts and talents. Fulfillment in your personal ministry comes you are effectively using those gifts in the body of Christ. You will discover or reaffirm your God given spiritual gifts. This call will cover all 19 gifts listed in the New Testament, describing the meaning, manifestation, model and contribution to the Kingdom of God. *The prerequisite for this course is Old Testament Survey Part l.
BS 203 New Testament Survey - Part 1
This course is the first half of the study in the New Testament. The content of this study is centered on the person of Christ. It is designed to bring unity and chronological order to the New Testament. The topics to be covered in this first course include: the Background of the New Testament, the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke), the Gospel of John, the book of Acts and the first four Pauline Epistles (1 & 2 Thessalonians, 1 & 2 Corinthians). *The prerequisite for this course is Old Testament Survey Part ll
BS 204 New Testament Survey - Part 2
This course is the second half of the study in the New Testament. As with New Testament Survey Part l, the content of this study is centered around the person of Christ and is designed to bring unity and chronological order to the New Testament. The topics to be covered in this second course include: 1 & 2 Thessalonians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James, 1 & 2 Peter, 1 & 2 & 3 John, Jude and Revelation. *The prerequisite for this course is New Testament Survey Part l.
BS 300 Developing the Leader within You
Everyone talks about leadership, but few understand it. Most people want it; few achieve it. This course will show you how to develop the vision, value, influence, and motivation required to be a successful leader. Whether you are a business executive or church leader, parent or teacher, these principles can be used in any organization to foster integrity and self-discipline to equip and enrich anyone who wants to become the leader God has called them to be. This course will empower the leader in you to stand up and seize the moment!
BS 301 Revelation Truth
This course examines the biblical dispensations of time, past, present and the future coming kingdom of God. Students will discover in scripture the revealed truth, that God is Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. He is from everlasting to everlasting. He is the almighty, all-knowing, and eternal God. In the book of Genesis, the first installment of the Book of books, God has included 30 clear pictures that portray His plan for the human race from creation until eternity to come. Throughout the ages, God has, does and always will love mankind, and yearns to redeem men and women, to dwell with Him for all eternity.
