Ministry Purpose
Our Prayer Ministry at Victory in Christ Center is a ministry that supports the vision of our Pastors and the mandate of God that we are a house of prayer. The ministry has a team of watchmen who are fervently praying for the needs of the house, the community, our country, and our world. We stand by the precept that men ought to always pray without ceasing. We pray throughout the week as a ministry, for God to help those that are in need and hurting and to mend the hearts of the broken-hearted.
We decree and declare only what the word of God says in His word. One scripture stands true of our purpose. It is found in James 5:16 “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
We participate actively during and after Sunday and Wednesday services, praying for those in need of prayer. We also facilitate the daily phone prayer calls 6:30 am-6:45 am, and on Saturday we facilitate the hour of Corporate prayer 8 am-9 am.
Likewise, we sponsor prayer events throughout the year:
• Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire: Developing and re-igniting your prayer
life
• National Day of Prayer in May
• Day of Prayer and Peace of Jerusalem in October
• Prayer Journeys
• Prayer Walks
• Other prayer needs during services of the various ministries.
Our Pastors, Bishop John and Pastor Isha Edmondson lead as examples of prayer for our ministry and church. This ministry welcomes those who are fervent in prayer to be part of our effort to make Victory a house of prayer.
We meet on the 2nd Saturday of the month after prayer. Please complete the Serving Opportunites form here.
